1. Please note that this recipe should be made ahead as it requires at least 1 hour of chilling time.

2. Place shrimp in a medium bowl, and squeeze juice from lime over it; toss with oil and black pepper to taste.

3. Drain tomatoes and add to shrimp.

4. Wash avocado, cut in half, remove the skin and pit, then slice the flesh into 1/2-inch chunks.

5. Add chopped avocado to the shrimp and tomato mixture.

6. In a small bowl, mix the hot chili sauce, sugar and sour cream. Fold into the shrimp mixture.

7. Line a serving bowl with washed and dried lettuce leaves, then top with the shrimp mixture.

8. Cover and chill for at least 1 hour, then garnish with fresh basil and strips of green pepper.

9. Serve salad with a whole wheat roll.
